For display, the real FOV is 30 degrees. The display size is analogous to a 14 inch laptop at a 1 meter distance. Resolution is at 640*480 Monocular. You can find Nika Optics on google, but their site doesn't include any information about their second gen VHG waveguides. With their second gen product, brightness is at 1500 nits. I understand how you feel, and I’m sorry for the frustration. To be transparent, we are currently following Sunny Optical’s NRE process. We’ve never worked with a manufacturing partner at Sunny’s scale before. Compared with smaller OEMs, their requirements are much stricter, especially around engineering validation, production readiness, reliability, and yield. After their assessment, our original design could not simply move forward under their standards. So in the end, they asked us to redo the NRE process together with their engineering team. Otherwise, they would not be able to take the project forward with us. This process involves negotiation, contracts, legal review, engineering coordination, design validation, production validation, and multiple rounds of confirmation. All of this takes time, especially for a new hardware product. We were not intentionally delaying the announcement. We wanted to avoid giving another rough estimate before the timeline was reliable enough. That said, we should have communicated the uncertainty earlier and more clearly. I understand your frustration, and we’ll do better.
