That should give a good balance between speed, accuracy, battery life, and heat. For video, AR1 supports video recording and Hardware Electronic Image Stabilization, so the footage can be more stable.

Prescription is generally a lot cheaper in China than elsewhere, generally in the ballpark of 30 USD if you don’t care about brand (e.g. zeiss).

You will have standard ADB and SSH access out of the box, and can deploy background daemons by putting them into the startup script. In our rockchip version, there was standard ALSA pipeline for audio, but with AR1 you need to use a C or Lua API for video and audio access.

The final shipping date will take some time to arrive, as hardware production will inevitably be delayed. We will report the production progress truthfully.Therefore, there is no need to pay the final payment for now. It will be available when everything is ready.

The logistics costs to India won't be too high; I think that's very reasonable.

The final payment notification email is expected in Q4 2026. Logistics delivery is expected in Q1 2027.
